Baking Up a Storm

I love to bake! I wish I had more time to, and more mouths to eat the things I bake. If I could go back to before college again, I might have gone to a Culinary school. Maybe I'll work in or own my own bakery some day. You never know. But for now, I'm just happy to bake when I can.

I discovered my grandma's old cook books on the shelf earlier this summer. This one was published in 1957.
There are some household tips in the back of the book along with the recipes. I bet Beaver's mom would have loved this book.

[Chocolate half-way cookies]
These were some interesting and very sweet cookie bars. Hooray 50's recipes!

[Mixmaster]
Hooray old mixer from the 70's!
For those of you who've seen the "That 70's Show" episode, remember when Red "just sold a Mixmaster!"? Well, we own it!

[Cinni-bisc.]
A quick biscuit cinnamon roll.

[Chocolate-chip Cookies!]
I like mine puffy, sometimes even puffier than these. Just add more flour to your recipe if you want to try it out.

May-hap I will be able to bake again soon. We'll have to wait and see.
