Swingin' and Sight-seein'

This weekend was the weekend of Swing Dancing and Plant Sight-seeing.

On Friday I went with my swing dance club, The Swingin' Bishops (our school's mascot is the Battling Bishop, who looks much like an angry version of Mr. Magoo) to a Big Band and dancing event in Columbus. The music was live and well played. I loved the name of the band: In Full Swing. They have an event in Columbus every second Friday of the month. I can't wait to go back!

On Saturday I woke up early to travel up to the Cleveland Botanical Gardens with the Horticulture Club. We got a tour of the gardens, plus a behind the scenes tour of the animal facilities. I took a ton of pictures, of course. The gardens are so pretty! If you are from the Cleveland area and haven't ever been to the gardens, you really are missing out.

A link to the Cleveland Botanical Garden's website, if you are interested.

And now for come pictures.....

[My butterfly friend, Schmetterling (German for butterfly, and the punch line for a very funny joke). He didn't want to leave my hand!]

To end the day, Orleia and I went to pick out a bottle of wine. Orleia wanted a fruitier wine and picked a white wine variety, Bella Sera. It was possibly the worst wine I'd ever tasted. I highly dis-recommend it! >.< I opted for a raspberry Smirnoff instead.
